At Solutions, the primary way we treat neck and back pain is with a very effective method of chiropractic called Gonstead. For acute back or neck pain, herniated disc conditions, Gonstead chiropractic is the gold standard. It works excellent for relief from pinched nerves and correcting structural problems in the spine. For chronic osteoarthritis of the spine (degenerative disc disease) Gonstead is also great for helping with improved range of motion and even slowing the progression. Chiropractic does not however ‘regenerate’ the spinal joints. Once the facet joints and discs of the spine degenerate, it’s permanent and chiropractic will only slow/halt any further deterioration.
At Solutions, we are finding even better results for our chiropractic patients by combining their adjustment schedule with regenerative medicine tissue allografts. The injections are not administered in any of the actual spinal joints, but rather the musculature that runs along the length of the lumbar and cervical spine. This is in close enough proximity for the regenerative medicine to affect the posterior spinal facet joints. This treatment is allowing many of our patients new flexibility and less pain in their neck and backs. When combined with chiropractic care patients are reviving their spines back to health with as full a recovery as possible. The chiropractic care corrects pinched nerves, realigns discs and balances structure; the regenerative medicine promotes healing of degenerative tissue by recruiting stem cell activity.
