Different Types of Regenerative Medicine Products

At Solutions, we offer our patients a number of regenerative medicine products. This gives us plenty of options for helping people with different conditions and different stages of degeneration. Some conditions respond better to certain products than others. Here are the types of products we use for regenerative medicine treatments at our clinic…

  1. Stem cells (live and not). These are from umbilical cord and placental tissues that have been donated by mothers who’ve had live healthy births. While some products feature live stem cells and others not, we have seen equal great results using both.
  2. Stem Cell Recruitment Products. These contain minimally manipulated amniotic fluid, also donated from healthy birthing mothers. These injections are ‘acellular’ and do not contain actual stem cells; their role is to help promote/accelerate the body’s healing mechanism by recruiting more of the patient’s own stem cells for healing and regeneration of tissue. Despite not actually containing any stem cells, we have seen similar excellent results with these products.
  3. PRP. Platelet Rich Plasma includes drawing the patient’s blood, separating out the blood cells and re-injecting the plasma into damaged or injured areas. The plasma contains stem cells that can promote healing wherever its injected. While PRP is generally not strong enough to change severely damaged joints, it works well as a boost (after stem cell type treatments) and terrific for soft tissue injuries and chronic issues.
