Shoulder Pain

Traditional medical treatment of shoulder problems usually consist of anti-inflammatories, steroids and physical therapy. If these measures fail, surgery is often the next step. Unfortunately, none of these measures help the body heal or regenerate and often lead to scar tissue, further surgery and ultimately a less functional joint. At Solutions, we have excellent results with shoulder pain and injuries using regenerative medicine treatments, chiropractic and focused rehabilitation. For acute injuries to the shoulder amniotic fluid or human tissue cellular allograft injections help greatly by rapidly reducing inflammation. For rotator cuff muscular or ligament tears, PRP is also a great addition to promote healing of the damaged tissues. For chronic shoulder problems such as osteoarthritis or bone on bone conditions, regenerative medicine is a patient’s only hope for regaining function by improving joint space and re-filling tissue voids. We also often recommend a comprehensive course of rehabilitation therapy for treatment of shoulder problems to strengthen and re-balance the soft tissue structures while the joint is recovering. In many cases, chiropractic is also important to simultaneously correct pinched nerve and structural problems that may limit a full recovery.
