Heartfelt Care For Kids In Trouble

Sometimes children end up in bad situations and need to be removed from their home. Fortunately the Department of Children’s Services often steps in to arrange for foster care. However when a child is rescued, there may be a wait that can last from several hours to days before a good foster family can be located, leaving the child with nowhere to go.

Isaiah 1:17 commands us to “defend the cause of the fatherless” and is why the verse was taken as the name of a non-profit organization that helps care for children awaiting foster placement, called the Isaiah House.

A Safe Port in the Storm

The Isaiah House provides a safe, comfortable home where children can go to wait while DCS searches for a suitable foster family. Staffed with friendly and loving volunteers, the Isaiah House helps children that often show up scared, lonely, hungry and sometimes needing clothing.

This organization operates almost entirely on community donations to provide kids in waiting with food, clean clothes, toys and a nurturing environment. It’s without a doubt a needed service and we are truly blessed to have this resource in our community.

Please Give Your Support

The Isaiah House was founded by Ronda Paulson out of pure love of being a foster parent herself and discovering the need. She started this organization in Carter County and it has grown to include numerous Isaiah House facilities in multiple states including Tennessee (many other counties), Virginia, Indiana, Texas, Florida and Georgia.

How You Can Help

Solutions will be working with the flagship Isaiah House in Elizabethton this fall. We have met their volunteers and can vouch they are extremely caring and professional and we are excited to help them. Please help our cause by either dropping off a donation (in the form of money or WalMart gift card) or referring one of your friends or family for help at our clinic and we will donate a portion of their first visit.
